Summer at Perimeter is busy and we need your help. We have summer student positions available throughout the Institute, running from May 5, 2025 to August 22, 2025. 


Perimeter’s Finance team is busy over the summer with a large amount of expenses associated with conferences, vendors, research and travel, and especially so this summer while Perimeter celebrates its 25th Anniversary. Working closely the Accounts Payable, Coordinator, the Accounts Payable Summer Student will play an important role in helping the Finance team keep up to date and provide exceptional customer service to Perimeter’s employees and researchers.

Primary Duties Include:

  • Accurately process entry of invoices and expense reimbursement claim information using NetSuite ERP system
  • Verify that transactions comply with Perimeter financial policies and procedures
  • Assist in regular vendor payment runs to guarantee prompt invoice payments
  • Review bills for potential errors and/or discrepancies, and investigate and resolve problems
  • Keep up to date vendor files and reconcile vendor statements to identify missing invoices and resolve aged items
  • Respond to inquiries from vendors and internal staff, maintaining good customer relations and solving problems
  • Assist with Perimeter 25th Anniversary project, and other ad hoc projects as needed


What you need to have:

  • Current or graduating student in post secondary education such as accounting or a related program 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy in data entry 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Precious experience with NetSuite is considered an asset, but not required
