As the Coordinator, Training, Educational Outreach and Scientific Programs (TEOSP) you will provide integral support to program staff, creating the best experience for researchers, students, special guests and teachers. Research and training programs at Perimeter Institute closely follow the academic year, resulting in busier times in late August through September, as well as January and June.
What You’ll Do:
Administrative Support
- Respond to general inquiries and coordinate onboarding for training programs
- Manage program logistics, including calendar coordination and liaising with Perimeter partners
- Maintain accurate records and support data entry and reporting
- Assist with offboarding processes and master calendar updates (courses, events, room bookings, AV, etc.)
- Process expense claims and ensure compliance with best practices
- Organize the library program weekly (no library experience required)
- Support other administrative projects as needed
Event Coordination
- Assist with planning and execution of orientations, welcome events, and Perimeter community-building activities
- Support conference logistics, including registration and assembling event materials
- Suggest and support new event ideas based on audience needs
What You Bring:
- Completed post-secondary education in related fields, or equivalent work experience
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure with a proactive approach to upcoming deadlines and requirements
- Highly developed prioritization and multitasking skills
- Event planning and execution experience
- Experience working in an academic environment is a highly desired asset
